Winter Activities: Nov - Mar
Our Activity Director keeps the park hopping during the winter time with more activities than one can participate in!! ALL ACTIVITIES are lead by you, our Winter Texan VOLUNTEERS. There is line dancing, skeet shooting, fishing, Bible study, dinners, bingo, Texas Two Step dancing, quilting, and all sorts of exercise programs, just to name a few. We are involved with Threads of Love, which is a way of helping the local underprivileged during their time of need after having a preemie or a still born baby. They have also begun a program to create urns for unaccompanied veterans. Pick up a Monthly Calendar for special events and Weekly Schedule in our Rec Hall for exact dates & times. Sign up sheets for activities and volunteering is also located in the rec hall.
Wood Shop
For the third year in a row SeaWind RV Wood Shop is open with several exciting projects. The first project is to build and donate 18 infant caskets to the local Kingsville hospital in Kleberg County, Texas. These are given to families who have lost an infant and need assistance with their final arrangements.
This project is sponsored by the not for profit Threads of Love organization and funded by Riviera Phone Company.
Veterans and volunteers are making the Winter Season even more special by donating their time to build urns for Unaccompanied Veteran's remains and infant caskets.
This season we have a G0-Fund-Me site, https://www.gofundme.com/f/urns-for-homeless-veterans to help fund the purchase of materials, such as cedar to build the urns. Please visit the site and consider making a donation.
Thank you.
